How It Works

The Phoenician (Thirsty Camel Lounge) patrons & guests are invited to come up to the poet’s instillation and request their full-length one-off custom poem. Fadi (the poet), has a brief conversation with the guest, asks a few questions, and people share their story. He then spontaneously curates their full-length poem right in front of them on his now iconic 1945 Hermes sage-green colored vintage typewriter.

The poet gives an honest intuitive appraisal of your vibe, through poetic verse. This human-connection interaction is always a big hit at resort lobby bars / main lobby spaces, and organically creates an unforgettable experience that allows your Phoenician guest to be in the present moment.

All poems are crafted on Archival (1920’s) Luxe Vellum paper, and presented in a premium museum-quality glass frame and elegant Luxe gift bag. Intimate curated poems are deeply personal nostalgic gifts from you to your resort guests, making Thirsty Camel patronage even more epic, and making you a hero.

Meet Your Poet

Fadi Y. Sitto is a best selling American poet, and Poet Laureate Nominee (2019).

He is one of only seven poets in history to have his poem recited in outer space. Fadi was commissioned to compose an original poem by the Space X Inspiration4 Space Mission. His poem was recited in space by American astronaut Sian Proctor (2021).

Author of the book: Bending Serendipity. Fadi’s free verse writings have been translated to multiple languages.

The poet receives booking requests to perform his Live Experiential Typewriter Poetry at selected exclusive weddings, corporate events, and private social events.

In addition, Fadi is commissioned to curate original bespoke free verse poems for individuals and organizations throughout the world.

This Live Poetry Guest-Experience Will Only Be Hosted At Thirsty Camel (The Phoenician Resort)


1. Live Poetry Activation Thursday, Friday & Saturday each week on a consistent on-going basis. Setting up in the Thirsty Camel Lounge / lobby space area.

2. Time Duration: 5pm - 11pm. Performance times and duration may vary, I’m open to “going live” earlier, and staying until 12am.

3. Options for live poetry activation (implementation) to be discussed with you. Options May Include - offering custom poems for a flat rate (Poem fee) to any patrons that would like to request and reserve their poem. Another Option - The Phoenician could pay me a weekly / monthly booking fee, and we can offer (Complimentary Custom Poems) to patrons that would like a poem.

* In addition, if you’re open to inviting me to be your (in-house resident poet) for 4 or 5 days a week, I’m open to working and composing custom bespoke poems on a strictly donation based / gratuity basis, there would be no (set poem fee) to hotel patrons and guests. The Phoenician would be the only resort in the world that offers a live resident poet on-site - composing original poems for hotel guests and patrons.

4. If necessary, I have my own POS system, using the Square Reader for credit and debit card donations. I also use Venmo, Apple Pay, and accept cash as well. 

5. Simple Set Up: I would just need two (2) hightop tables next to each other, and to be somewhat near an outlet to plug in my vintage table lamp for my lighting as I’m composing poems for guests.

* Stipulation: If I am previously booked by a client of mine for a wedding, corporate event, or private event, these events would have to take precedence over my Thirsty Camel Activation - Because I'm getting my full booking fee (which ranges from $4000 - $12,000 depending on package) per wedding or event. I of course would let you know in advance of any wedding or event bookings. I appreciate your understanding in regards to this.
